Private Pilot Certificate

Your journey to the skies begins here.

Your Foundation
for Flight Training

The Private Pilot Certificate is the starting point for all aviators. Whether you dream of flying family to weekend destinations or pursuing a career with the major airlines, this certificate gives you the core aeronautical knowledge and stick-and-rudder skills needed to pilot a single-engine aircraft safely.

You will train in our modern fleet of Cessna aircraft under FAA Part 141 or Part 61 rules, guided by professional instructors who prioritize airmanship and situational awareness.

  • Fly solo and carry non-commercial passengers
  • Flexible Part 61 or structured Part 141 paths
  • Modern training fleet with Garmin avionics

Success Stories

Read review notes from our student aviators who reached their pilot goals.

“I had my Discovery Flight today with Chris and it was absolutely amazing! Immediately entering the TAA facility, it felt like visiting family.”

Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The planes and headset equipment were top notch. The training was high level and within minutes I was flying. The views were priceless during the discovery flight. To top that off, TAA is heavily involved in the community. If you are looking for a great Flight school then look no further.

Wow, just wow! I was a bit hesitant about going to TAA because of the mixed reviews about Flight Attendant schools that are going around out there but after attending TAA, I DO NOT regret it all!!!

Every flight school will have planes, pilots, and fancy headsets, but TAA's staff makes a serious difference. Our pilot was an incredibly nice, educated, personable man named Dalton (ask for him if you can!)

I loved it here at Triad Aviation Academy. Kim and Camille are so nice they really care about you getting a job to becoming a flight attendant. We had to airlines that interviewed us. We did not have to compete with 200K other applicants we were given access to recruiters.

Frequently
Asked Questions

Find quick answers regarding this program and Triad Aviation Academy's general flight training procedures.

The FAA minimum is 35 hours under Part 141 or 40 hours under Part 61. However, most students require between 50 and 60 hours to build the safe proficiency needed to pass their checkride.
No, a Private Pilot license is restricted to Visual Flight Rules (VFR), meaning you must remain clear of clouds and fly in good visibility. To fly in clouds or poor weather, you must earn an Instrument Rating.
We recommend getting your medical certificate early in training. Many minor medical issues can be resolved with a special issuance, or you can train for a Sport Pilot certificate which does not require a traditional medical exam.
No. Triad Aviation Academy welcomes students with zero flight experience. We provide complete training from ground school through advanced ratings, guiding you step-by-step to your goals.
We partner with premier aviation lenders, including Meritize and Stratus Financial, to offer flexible loan packages. These programs can cover up to 100% of your flight training and living expenses.
Triad is FAA-approved under both Part 141 and Part 61. This allows us to offer structured, fast-paced commercial courses under Part 141, as well as highly flexible, self-paced training under Part 61.
