Certified Flight Instructor (CFI / CFII)
We are actively interviewing CFI and CFII candidates to support our expanding fleet and growing student body. We prioritize CFII candidates, but welcome all passionate instructors.
General Duties
- Provide high-quality flight and ground instruction to student pilots in accordance with FAA regulations and TAA training standards.
- Ensure all training lessons focus on safety, utilizing our structured Part 141 and Part 61 syllabi.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings to guide students through flight maneuvers and academic progress.
- Maintain precise student records, logbooks, and FAA progress checks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) rating.
- Letter of Recommendation from a Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Instructor.
- Current FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- US Citizenship or valid US employment authorization.
Flight Instruction & Experience
- Prior flight instruction experience is preferred, but highly motivated recent CFI/CFII graduates will be considered.
- Proficiency and familiarity with single-engine training aircraft (Cessna 172) and/or multi-engine aircraft (Cessna 310).
- Thorough understanding of aircraft limitations, airspeeds, weight and balance, and general aircraft performance.
Familiarity & Regulations
- Familiarity with Triad Aviation Academy syllabi, Training Course Outlines (TCOs), and Safety Practices and Procedure Manuals.
- Strong understanding of FAA Part 141/61 regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrated compliance with FAA record-keeping and reporting guidelines.
